Photo Diary: Topshop x Olivia Palermo Holiday Styling Event (12/8/11)
Topshop and I have a love-hate relationship. The reasons? Despite the affinity I have for it's merchandise, my wallet isn't to keen on the idea of this fashion love affair. Nevertheless we came to the agreement that aside from price (and just keep in mind that everything is expensive for us college students!) Topshop throws the best soirees! I headed on over to the Soho location to check out Olivia Palermo's Holiday Styling tips and to see the style icon in action once again. The first time I saw her in person was at the Tibi show during NYFW looking understated, yet extremely chic. However this time around, Olivia sported a truly eclectic and effortless Topshop getup, that I think only she could pull off. Although brief, Olivia radiated passion for clothes and styling and a general warmth towards her fans and the curious onlookers. I was lucky enough to quickly chat with her despite the swarms of young girls who seemingly formed a mosh pit in the middle of Topshop. Yet I think one of the most memorable aspects of the night were the, what I perceived to be, McQueen-inspired jeweled and studded mannequins. The perfect finishing touch!
Due to the fact that store was swarming with people it didn't serve me well in terms of taking outfit photos, so stay tuned to see what I wore to the event!
